Specialized Rope Access Team

Rockfall mitigation projects are a major part of our professional team’s expertise. We work with transportation, hydropower, and utility clients to assess rock slope hazards, evaluate and design mitigation measures, and observe construction activities. To facilitate safe access and observation of rock slopes, Landslide Technology has developed a trained and certified rope-access team consisting of engineers and geologists. Our services include difficult access inspections in challenging areas such as prominent rock bluffs above / below highways; pipeline and transmission line corridors; and dam abutments, penstocks and spillways.
Our rope-access team generally follows guidelines of the Society of Professional Rope Access Technician (SPRAT). Each team member is trained and certified as a Level I SPRAT technicians. Select team members have been certified as Level II and Level III SPRAT technicians.
This capability has allowed us to assess rock slope hazards, evaluate rockfall mitigation options, and observe construction activities at numerous facilities that could not have otherwise been accessed.
